Chempoint Ghana Donates GHC 10,000 and Essential Supplies to Korle Bu Burns Centre

As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Chempoint Ghana has demonstrated its commitment to healthcare and community support by donating essential items and cash to the National Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

 

Chempoint Ghana’s CSR Initiative Supports Burn Patients

 

The donation, made on December 26, 2025, forms part of Chempoint Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery in Ghana.

The items donated included:

* Two gallons of bleach
* Twenty gallons of liquid soap
* Ten bottles of floor cleaners
* A cash donation of *GHC 10,000*

These supplies are essential for maintaining hygiene and supporting the treatment of patients at the Burns Centre.

 

Why the Donation Matters

 

According to the CEO of Chempoint Ghana, Nana Afua Addo, the initiative was inspired by the company’s awareness that many patients at the burns unit suffer from chemical-related injuries.

She emphasized that providing cleaning agents and financial support will help improve patient care, sanitation, and overall recovery conditions within the facility.

 

Appreciation from Korle Bu Burns Centre

 

The donation was received by former Director Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah, with support from the Nurse-in-Charge, Elizabeth Hansen.

Dr. Ampomah expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chempoint Ghana for the generous contribution and commended the company for its continued support toward specialized healthcare, particularly in burn treatment and reconstructive surgery.

Management and staff of the Burns Centre also congratulated Chempoint Ghana on reaching a decade of impactful service in Ghana’s chemical and industrial sector.
